Temples

Malik Kafur tried to destroy the Chennakeshava Temple, Belur. Temple again became target in 1326 CE by Delhi Sultanate army. Madurai Sultanate also tried to destroy this temple. However, temple remained in active worship from time of consecration in 1117 CE.
